Amazing

I havnt yet mentioned why this Mack is so special. There are these trucks that pull 5th wheel campers. They are smaller sized mini Freightliners that me and my Dad think are jokes. Before we came across these trucks, my Dad had made his truck to pull a camper. Heres the story on it. In 1999 while my father was a truck driver there were Mack trucks for sale at his job. They were silver 1990 Mack Chs with no sleepers that were made to pull tankers. So my dad bought one, he bought a sleeper for it and took off 1 of the axles in the back so it could fit. He then custom fabricated an old wrecker body and mounted it on the back and put a ball hitch. It was now able to pull a ball hitch camper. So we then sold our familys camper and bought a park model camper that only a big rig could tow and camp all over with it. The frame on the trailer once broke because it wasnt made to be pulled but we just had a thicker frame put on. All the paint and all the work done to this Mack was all done and always will be all done by my Dad. So for the 4 years it took to do all this we were putting chrome into it and entering truck shows, while camping too. So you decide a mini freightliner or a powerful Mack. I will get a picture of the Mack with the trailer soon.

27th Annual Antique truck Show and Flea Market

This week there was the 27th annual antique truck show in Macungie Pa. It was one of the best truck shows I have ever been to. There were over 600 trucks including old dumptrucks, milk trucks and much more. There was also food stands and a huge flea market. There were busses that brought you to the Mack Truck assembly plant in Macungie which is the largest truck assembly plant in the country which uses all American parts and all the trucks are put togeather by hand. My dad didnt enter his truck because we didnt have enough time but if you have please comment this entry and tell us about your truck, we would love to hear about it. Thank you.

American Truck Historical Society

There is a website and magazine called ATHS. This site talks about trucks (usually classic trucks) and tells you truck shows that are going to be held in the current year. You can also order the Aths magazine which includes two magaxines every two months for 1 year. One magazine talks about trucks and the other tells you truck shows that are comming up. I think this is a great organization and you should join now. To join visit this website... www.Aths.org

Truck show in North Haven, CT

This spring at the Pride and Glory chrome shop in North Haven, there will be an anual truck show. I will post when it will be exact or you can go to this website and contact the shop... www.PandGchromeshop.com

Mack trucks can have chrome too!!!

For many years chrome has been always made for Peterbilts, Freightliners, and Kenworths. There was always very little for Macks. When I looked for chrome accesories for me and my dad's Mack, we could find hardly anything... We found one site, Jpchrome.com, this was the only site that had chrome for Macks. Now our Mack is entering truck shows and getting prizes, now it is proved show trucks dont just have to be new Petes. The chrome accesories on our old mack are, chrome sun visor, bumper, bug deflector, tanks, stacks, window vents, light covers, kick plate, train horns, horns, and many chrome accesories in the interior. So if you own a mack, go show whos boss and go win some truck shows!!! Heres a picture of our Mack before the chrome bumper(above)
